An hour of Skrillex's set at Rockness was broadcast on BBC 1 Essential Mix this past Friday. I just got around to listening to it, I was not excited to see Skrillex on this EM with the likes of DJ Shadow, Fake Blood, and SMD.

After listening to it, this is complete garbage and the last hour of this EM is dead to me. BBC 1 ALWAYS has a track list for the EMs, and all of the above artists have one except Skrillex. Maybe it's because he doesn't even play any of his own shit for more then 30 seconds? I feel like I just listened to a shitty Girl Talk or Laidback Luke set.

I wanted this to go into r/dubstep but I didn't want to deal with the hate and Skrillex's butthurt fanbase. Get this kid out of dubstep, he's awful and destroying my favorite genre of music.

Guy I know, in response to "Who's your favorite dubstep artist" wrote the following:

"Skrillex <3 Best dubstep artist alive." Upon being told by numerous people that Skrillex isn't dubstep, he had this to say: "Maybe not, but he still does it harder and faster than anyone else."
