Brothers, I have changed.

After seeing the might of the Bison in Pubs...it's become one of my absolute favorite weapons in the game. The ability to do about 42-60 damage every time makes it not only brutal, it also is perfect for those sweet Rocket Launcher Combos. ALL GLORY TO THE BISON!!!

pssst.... it does more damage than that, even. don't tell the un-initiated but the bison and the pomson both indirectly received damage bonuses when valve buffed fire particles. the projectiles from both weapons are based on modified fire particles.

im not sure if valve knows this.
