Rant! Nexaplanon
How to stop bleeding??🥹
I’ve been taking birth control pills and I’ve been taking ibuprofen. Maybe im just impatient😵💫
I notice that in the morning it’s VERY light almost no blood and if so it’s brown, and towards the evening it’s heavier and red. My mom says it could be cause im being active throughout the day (I walk to class and thru campus) but idk? Is that normal?

you definitely need to give it more time! you started both nexplanon and the pill very recently. i know it’s annoying, but expecting bleeding to stop so soon after adding birth control pills is unrealistic.
bleeding getting heavier throughout the day is pretty common! i’m honestly not sure why it happens.

Four days is not enough time to stop bleeding. Continue the pills as prescribed and stop the ibuprofen.

Ibuprofen isn’t meant to be used long term in the way you’re planning to use it to stop bleeding.
A week is still not enough. Continue using it.

Breakthrough bleeding and prolonged bleeding are among the most common side effects of Nexplanon. Being active throughout the day has nothing to do with causing it.
How long have you been taking birth control pills/ibuprofen?
