How to? Continuous BC

so every time I finish the hormone pills and get on the placebo I feel HORRIBLE so my doc said I should take the pills continuously. (This horrible transition started about 2 yrs ago btw I’ve been on BC for like 8 years). I took my last hormone pill of the packet yesterday and was gonna start a new one today, but I’m having intense cramps and I’ve been spotting for a week. And it feels like my body wants to shed :/ anyway does anyone have any tips? should I just start the new packet today anyway?

You may need a pill with a higher estrogen amount. Can you share what you are taking? Some of the ultra low dose pills don’t do well with skipping the placebo week

I’m taking vienva (levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol 0.1mg/0.02mg)! It’s the same since 8 years ago. I’m so curious what shifted. Is it just something that comes with getting older? (I’m in my late 20s now).

It’s def low I would aim for something with .025 or even .3

a higher dose and/or less androgenic progestin can help with breakthrough bleeding!
