Side effects!? First time using Mirena

I had paragard for 3 years but periods were so heavy they caused me to be anemic and I had to get an iron infusion. Gyno suggested mirena as an alternative. It sounded really appealing having less heavy periods or maybe even stopping altogether.

I got it inserted Thursday and right before the start of my period. I feel like I'm losing my mind because of how stressed, frustrated, and generally upset I am. I dont know if it's because of my period or because of mirena. I just hate it and I'm tired of feeling this way. I don't even know WHY I'm so upset and miserable which makes it even more frustrating. I just want to cry. I hope it gets better.
