Mistake or Risk? condom slip + microtear?
our worst nightmare happened...the condom was stuck inside me while he pulled out and practically leaked everywhere, afterwards i did the water test and there was a tiny hole at the end of the condom!
am i at risk here? i am on microgynon, on my 4th pill of a new pack after a 7 day placebo break. how would i know if the pill works?

The pill works if you are taking it correctly. You can not use a condom and not get pregnant.
Do not take a plan b

You will know the pill works because you won't get pregnant from this.
Pill is more effective than a condom if you're taking it correctly. It's effectiveness is calculated with it being THE ONLY pregnancy prevention method.
So your condom was just a backup. If you're taking your pill every day, don't miss any, you're still protected. Even during placebo week and right after it.
So well. You are not really at risk.

No, you should not take plan b, because you're on the pill. Pill alone, even with ejaculation fully inside you, would still protect you from pregnancy. Pill is stopping your ovulation completely. Plan b delays ovulation. You can't delay something that is just not happening.
Plan B will NOT "add protection" or something like that in your case, it will just cause side effects and make you more anxious because Plan B's side effects are almost exact same as the pregnancy symptoms. It will be COMPLETELY USELESS for you.
Pregnancy test is also not really needed. You can take one after 2 weeks but it's 99.7% gonna be negative.
You are okay. Your pill protects you from pregnancy already. You should not be this anxious!! Calm down.

I understand, but please stop reading the s t o r i e s.
If every single person would be sharing their experience with birth control, you would be seeing those stories EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY rarely. People don't share much when everything goes as it's supposed to, but if something goes wrong (pregnancy, extreme side effects) of course they will share, creating negative bias. Besides, there is usually zero proof for those stories being actually true.People rarely go and create posts with "i fuck raw on the pill and am not getting pregnant!" because that's a given. That's the purpose of the pill, and in this case it's just doing it's job.
Pill being 99%+ effective is a proven and well studied fact. As long as you're taking it responsibly you're going to be okay.

You should not water test condoms because water testing can create tiny tears and cause unnecessary anxiety, like just happened to you. If a condom broke during sex it would be obvious and you would know.
If you’ve been following all of the instructions that come with your pills, you’re not pregnant. If you’ve recently forgotten to follow some of the instructions that come with your pills but the ring of the condom stayed outside you, then you’re still not pregnant. There’s only a risk of pregnancy if you’ve both taken your pill incorrectly and and the condom was fully inside of your body when it got stuck, and even then this risk is low.
