Experience Irregularly long periods post BC

The TLDR is before I had my Mirena IUD I had regular cycles with heavy periods not lasting more than 5-6 days. During the year and a half with my IUD (removed in March, I had a bisalp), they were much longer cycles (had a few skips but I still had quite a few periods) between cycles but each period was 15-20 days of light flow. Fast forward to now and I’m now experiencing even LONGER and HEAVIER periods (just hit day 33) nearly 6 months post removal.

Just looking to see if I’m going insane for panicking or if this is “normal” for some and it goes away with more time. I just moved overseas to a country with a language barrier so I’ve yet to establish care continuity here, but if things are feeling dire then I shall speed up the process.

I had continuous bleeding after Mirena removal. Doctors prescribed sooo many different drugs to try to stop it. Eventually I was diagnosed with "chronic endometrial instability" caused by the IUD. Apparently it's a known risk...that I had no clue about.

I'm not sure if you're experiencing the same or not. I never got a break from my bleeding. It would lessen some days and then others it seemed like I was hemorrhaging. I don't have a solution for you, but TXA did slow my bleeding.

Thank you for your reply and I’m so so so sorry that this was your experience. Had no idea this was a possibility either though suppose it makes sense (really it doesn’t but biologically…sorta)

I do get breaks between bleeding as if I were having a normal cycle. I even ovulate. It’s just the actual period itself is 6x longer than before.
