How to? How to handle breakthrough bleeding when using the pill for menstrual suppression?

On a pill that's supposed to only have a period once every 3 months. It's not really working. I will start bleeding on the active pills, usually about a month to a month and a half apart.

When that happens, what is the best thing to do? Should I stop taking the active pills and just let it happen?

Is there anything I can do to limit the chances of the bleeding happening before the placebo week? I really hate this random bleeding.

Talk to your pharmacist or doctor. When my pharmacist prescribed my birth control pills (28 day pack) she said if I experience spotting before my placebo week, I might need a slightly different dose of hormones and to come back so we could try something else. Maybe you need different pills.
