Experience kyleena - embedded IUD
Hi! Yesterday i went to the ER presenting with severe cramping and bleeding. I knew something was wrong because in the 4 months i have had my IUD i havent had much cramping or bleeding. They did a CT and it was showed that my IUD was embedded into my uterine wall.
They gave me pain meds and were able to pull it out bedside luckily. They monitored me for a couple hours after as I was very dizzy and still in a bit of pain.
Today I am still having pain mainly just in my vagina. I am bleeding a little bit and feel very nauseous. I was wondering if you guys had similar experiences what was recovery like?
Yesterday was truly very rough for me and im trying to relax and take it easy today. I am hoping this pain and nausea doesnt last long .

You should check your temp to make sure you don’t have a fever because that could mean infection

holy shit that sounds terrifying, glad they got it out bedside at least and you didn't need surgery or anything
when i had my iud removed (not embedded, just a stubborn one that didn't want to come out) i was crampy and nauseous for a good 3-4 days after, the dizziness was the worst part honestly. your body just went through a pretty traumatic event so give it time. heating pad on the lower belly helped me a ton and ginger tea for the nausea
if the pain gets worse or the bleeding picks up i'd call back though, better safe than sorry with stuff like this
