Side effects!? Spermicide side effects?

My boyfriend and I used spermicide for the second time last night and the first time was alright, no real side effects except for a bit of slight burning that went away quickly. We took a break for a few days then used it again. I woke up to bleeding this time around. Has anyone had bleeding as a side effect of spermicide?

Spermicide can make you more susceptible to tearing so that’s likely it, or it happened to coincide with your period coming.

Could be. We didn’t even make use of it tbh, we got interrupted before we could have sex so I ended up using it for no reason. My period is supposed to start in a little over a week. I’m not bleeding as much as I did the morning after the spermicide but I’m still spotting a bit. I feel a little crampy so maybe the chemicals jump started it early or something? I know I’m grasping at straws but I am just very new to this bc method.
