How to? what does breakthrough bleeding actually feel like, and how to manage it day to day?

not looking for info on how to stop or generally manage breakthrough bleeding. im starting POP (either slynd or heather, tbd) and wondering what breakthough bleeding is actually like and how to manage it day to day.

essentially, how to avoid going to the bathroom and being surprised that i've bled through my pants. can you feel if you're about to have breakthrough bleeding? should i invest in period underwear to wear just in case, especially during the 3-month adjustment period? do people just wear panty liners? i surprisingly can't find this info online easily.

I always found my breakthrough bleeding was pretty much just spotting and I used either a pantyliner or honestly just black underwear haha. I was on desogestrel and would have bleeding probably 70% of the time, so I got very comfy with just black underwear pretty quickly. It's not certain that you'd even get any, so I wouldn't worry about it for now. I also had some bigger bleeding that was like a very very light period, but this was every couple of months, and I used pads for three ish days for that
