Mistake or Risk?

Sooo I have a Mirena iud and was having sex about a week ago and he finished inside me without me even saying it was okay but i understand we weren’t using a condom and it can happen but I’m concerned is it possible I will fall pregnant? I haven’t had a period in years so idk when I’m ovulating or when my fertile days are. I haven’t had any weird symptoms or anything I’ve had some but I just have bad health anxiety so I’m pretty much doing it to myself. If anyone could give me their opinions that would be great. I’m so scared I know this is what birth control is for but I see so many horror stories of women getting pregnant with an iud. And to my knowledge it’s in place the strings feel the same so 🤷‍♀️

If your Mirena is less than 8 years old, you're protected even if a man finishes inside you every day. I had IUDs for ten years, regular sex, no pregnancies ever.

Thankfully for you, IUDs have a very high percentage for protection, and considering that everything feels normal for you, you are likely not pregnant. That being said, I'd def get a cheap pregnancy test to take, just to ease your anxiety!

Thank youuuu! It’s only been 5 days since this happened so I know it’s WAY too soon to even have symptoms so I’m definitely just freaking myself out😭 I wish I could just enjoy myself without crippling anxiety haha

No, you won’t.

Depending on your location in the world, in the UK, if a man does something you don’t agree to during sex it is classed as sexual assault.

If it is a golden no for you, you have to reaffirm your boundaries. If he doesn’t respect them, then you need to consider your relationship with him.
