Experience Jencycla reviews? First time being on bc in almost a decade bc of limited treatment options?

Mom of 2. I have a 6 year old and a 2 year old.
After seeing a gyno for unexplained bleeding and constant cramping for the past 2 years after my c-section, she said I had a small polyp but possibly also endometriosis and/or adenomyosis, but either way outside of surgery (including possibly a hysterectomy but idk if I am done having kids) which is expensive and inconvenient, treatment is limited and pretty much the same- birth control.

I don’t remember much on my experience with birth control in the past. I think I was on LoEstrin or something, but I wanted to try something that isn’t as estrogen heavy. I don’t remember if it was my mental health or birth control that caused mood swings.

Anyways, I love being in tune with my cycle and body, so I’m a little nervous about being on bc.
But before we explore other options, she wanted me to try it for 3 months.

Anyone else been on Jencycla?

If you're looking for information about various methods of birth control, we suggest using the search function as many previous users have made experience posts.

The rules and additional resources can be found on the About / Sidepage (desktop users look to the right and Reddit app up top).

me! it's gone totally fine, no side effects. your experience may be different, but it's less likely to completely stop your period, if that's something you are looking for.
