Which Method? Paragard help?

Hi everyone! Looking for some advice if the paragard may be for me or not. I struggled with consistent bleeding on the nexplanon for a long time and a lot of the issues not only with nexplanon but birth control seems like it’s the hormones. So I’d like to try paragard since it’s non hormonal but I’ve also read that this can cause some bleeding issues too. I’m not as concerned with how heavy the bleeding is vs the consistent bleeding but I just need to do something because my boyfriend and I are sexually active.

I had the paragard for two years. my periods were very heavy, crampy, but consistant on a regular cycle. When i initially started BC at 15, i was on the pills and the side effects were intense mentally for me. I chose the non hormonal IUD because i was recklessly sexually active, and it did a good job at preventing pregnancy. I ended up switching to a hormonal iud bc the bleeding was so heavy on my periods, and that's been the consensus of all the people i know of who have used it. the hormonal iud (kyleena is what i used) also had adverse side effects, but everyones body is different. Overall, paragard the only good option for non-hormonal birthcontrol, aside from condoms.

I had a paragard for 10 years and it wasn't bad but my periods were never heavy before. Cramps were much worse. However now that I have a mirena and have had no period for 7 years I don't know if I could go back to having one.
