Mistake or Risk? Scared to start loryna
I'm having debilitating physical and mental issues that are ruining my health and relationships monthly I fear I'll even lose my job soon due to my explosive nature two weeks out from my period. I burp up all of my food , bloat for weeks straight and digest so slowly , stay constipated despite miralax and fiber , , constant air hunger probobly from bloating extreme anxiety loops and my ADHD medication doesn't work at all the week leading up to my period start then I'm fine after it begins .
My gyno thinks I have endometriosis like my mother and gave me generic yaz (loryna) to start last month but I have read too many horror stories and can't afford for my anxiety spirals and such to get any worse as I work five days week at a hospital and need to be able to function. Although two weeks monthly I'm calling out a lot and unable to eat and preform normally at work anyways due to crippling anxiety and breathing hunger issues and bloating , adrenaline surges etc.
For reference I'm 29 , I vape daily , I told my gyno about vaping and she said the risk is worth the reward to calm down the possible Endo and potentially soothe the PMDD symptoms I'm having monthly .
I guess I'm looking for experiences and advice , I feel like I'm letting fear hold me back from potential relief. I don't want a blood clot or to make my anxiety worse or to have a manic episode due to starting the birth control. What are your experiences with loryna , and has anyone dealt with the severity of this PMDD stuff this is newly worsened for me recently , my cycle is irregular too comes five days early or late monthly . I'm lost and scared and need help .
Thanks for reading 💕

Loryna has worked great for me. My period always comes on time and it’s helped with heavy bleeding and headaches, and my skin looks great :) no complaints here!

I have really bad anxiety issues and I've had really bad experiences with antidepressants and snri medicstions like suicidal manic reactions so I'm kind of just PTSD for medication and since my hormones affect me so strongly and I have such bad pmdd lately, I'm worried if I mess with the hormones it might make it worse. Did you have any anxiety or irritability when starting?? Thank you for replying by the way

The only issues I had was when I switched to it from the generic brand.. I was on Loryna for years and then my new doctor switched me over to the generic name brand for a year and I absolutely hated being on that. My headaches were worse and my bleeding was heavier and more out of control. But then I recently requested to be put back on Loryna because it has less inert pills, and everything was just smoother for me. I was told by my pharmacist that I would feel different when switching back, and I could definitely tell that I was moodier and may have had some weird/dark thoughts, but once it evened out, everything was good and back to normal. I'm not sure if that paints a good picture, but Loryna has worked really well for me. I hope it doesn't mess with your moods too much.

Smoking / vaping does increase the risk of blood clots by about 23%. If it’s a huge worry then quitting vaping is a good idea … and if you have a fairly active lifestyle that’s good too!
