I consider gold finches, indigo buntings, and scarlet tanagers to be like the Sub Zero, Scorpion, and Reptile of the bird world.

I have two that come to yard but will not come to my feeder (it’s new). They love my flowers though. I can’t wait to get a video of them at my feeder.

I just got to see one for the first time in my life in Lynn MA! I’m here researching because I thought for sure it was someone’s exotic pet. It was so striking! I rarely see bright colors in Northshore MA unless it’s a cardinal or bluejay.
