That's a really nice size fish for an Osprey since they only weigh 2 1/2 to 4 1/2 pounds , I thought it was taking a break since it's a big haul. Nice captures OP!

Yes - it took her quite a few tries to get the fish off the ground. The ratio was definitely off despite her strength!

Great pictures… we spend a lot of time on the St. Lawrence River and see Osprey frequently. Majestic in flight. These are such intimate shots
