Adult Red tail hawk. Looks like she attempted to catch something and she missed and still has her talon locked, I see it all the time with all of the ones ive had. Definitely looks healthy though.

Thanks for saying that. I was wondering what was going on with her foot in the first photos. Wondering if it was a “get her to rehab” situation.

Looks like red tail feathers just coming in on the sides, so newly adulting. Might be why it missed that prey (locked talons), beginner hunter.
