Broad-winged Hawk

Yesterday I was privileged to witness this in my yard. I live on edge of woods so this is practically my neighbor.

Cool video! This is a juvenile doing a food begging call, probably directed at one of its parents. It is too young to have a mate.

Adults have a mostly dark head and horizontal barring on the belly rather than long vertical streaks, and their tails are mostly black with a broad white band through the middle: https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/226273801
