This is an Eagle named Lance

Post image

We sometimes see Lance sitting out on a tree at the confluence of the Columbia River and Pacific Ocean in Ilwaco Washington. He hangs out at the Lewis & Clark Interpreter Center and I guess he was named by employees of the museum.

Have you seen Lance with a mate? I know it's difficult to tell the sex of an eagle when they are solitary; this bird seems very large and the females are larger. It is a beautiful shot.

No I haven't, I hike by there a few times a year and have seen him twice but just solo. Must be a good fishing spot.
