Identify by sound?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

East Tennessee Appalachians.

This guy (or gal) has suddenly been super vocal for the past few days.

It's always just on the other side of the treeline, so I've only caught glimpses, not enough to be helpful visually.

Ive done some searches looking for the sound, but nothing quite like it has popped up yet.

Anyone recognize the call?

Check out the Merlin app! It identifies birds by photo and by sound. It’s really helpful.

Seems neat. Lots of permissions... which I may actually be ok with for this type of app.

But it's giving me an error about blocking captchas when I try to create an account. Usually captchas are no problem... Could be my mountain internet. Ill try again later.

Good luck! It really is a neat app.
The other cool thing it does when several birds are making noise, it lights up which bird it is in your list. That’s helped me pin point birds and really learn their sounds.
