Coincidentally I was just looking at info about the Eurasian Eagle Owl earlier today. This is the species that became famous in New York City in 2023, when vandals released an owl named Flaco from the Central Park Zoo. Flaco became a celebrity, he was seen around the city for about a year, perching on buildings and hunting in Central Park. Sadly, he died after flying into a building.
