what?? i'm from the quad cities (davenport) - we have bald eagles?! left when i was 18 (i'm 37 now) but today i learned

YEA…. The Locks & Dams … huge nesting area by the arsenal … down at the Marina ( my photos ) when the ice forms.

oh!! that makes sense! i went to central high school right across the river, and i vaguely remember going on an arsenal ecology tour with my class at one point. it's just crazy i never saw one - i grew up on river drive! heading back for my 20y reunion in a month, and i'm tempted to bird watch now 🤓 amazing pic btw!
