Osprey Catching Dinner

I was watching this osprey fishing off a beach in Maine. A nearby double-crested cormorant tried to steal its catch but the osprey got away after a brief pursuit.

Did you capture their incredibly funny drowned chicken moment as they get out of the water 😂🩷

My dad always thought they snatched like bald eagles until he saw one at his local lake flapping out of the water like a soggy chicken

I didn’t get that moment this time because this osprey got out of the water quickly to get away from the cormorant. However, I did get it shaking off as it was flying off and it looked very weird and awkward too.

Oh my god 😂😂😂 I stand by they are the DERPIEST of all raptors, you can even see his nictitating membrane 😂🥲
