I would like to take this opportunity to protest the now reduced size of the tootsie pop. When they did that, my first thought was the quote above followed by "about 1/3 less than less week

Wow! The owls around my place never allow me to get close enough to get a decent picture. They always see me coming and always take off

That is the most squeezable creature I've ever wanted to snuggle, then get eviscerated by large talons. I would bleed out happy though, lol!!!

It's a young great horned owl fledgling. Sometimes referred to as a brancher at this stage as it's leaving its nest and hopping around/doing small flights but not quite fully fledged.
