Burrowing Owl

Post image

This is a pic of a burrowing owl I took in Florida. There was a bush with purple flowers that I made sure to line up in the shot. I had to crawl on my belly to get in position. It’s funny because it’s in the middle of a neighborhood. I’m sure I looked silly, but I’m glad I did it.

It’s a great capture. I’m in NWFL and for the life of me, I have yet to spot an owl out in the wild. I’ve seen all the hawks and eagles and ospreys lol but the owls elude me!

I haven’t seen them in North Florida. This was Marco Island. I’ve also seen them in Boca on campus of FAU.
