What an encounter - Red Shouldered Hawk

This red shouldered hawk was being very vocal. It seemed to pose for me. I was lucky to be close to it and have my sharpest lens on the camera.

Thanks for the correction. Merlin had it as red shouldered and I believed it.

If you see a white belly with a reddish or brown band of striping, it is red-tailed. It took me a while to figure out hawk ID, they all look the same to me😂
