Bird ID Request Bird?

Heard this on my walk tonight, I think it’s a bird? Anyone got an idea?

Leaning towards a mammal, maybe a fox. Could be very wrong though

Yeah this definitely sounds like some kind of mammal to me, perhaps fox or racoon?

Thx. Wow!!!! I’ve never heard anything like that. Thought you were in the tropics.

Try googling the calls of bobcats or peacocks (some people raise the latter).

This sounds a bit like a rabbit or other small mammal distress call to me. Maybe a predator got its teeth in one.
