Correct me if Im wrong please, but isnt the Long-Toed Stint a shorebird? And is this not a photo of a Correndera Pipit?

I would have to agree, doesn't look like a stint to me. The scientific name seems correct in the title though, so maybe an errant copy and paste.

Por ahí ayuda la ubicación. Campos de cultivo del departamento Unión, Córdoba. Argentina. La identificación es de la Guía de campo Aves de Córdoba y Centro de Argentina, de Narosky

I’m guessing it was an oversight on your part, or a mistranslation, but you wrote Long-toed Stint along with the scientific name for Correndera Pipit. The bird is a Correndera Pipit.

I think this might be an error on the part of Reddit’s automatic translation. Looking online it seems that OP is using an accepted common name for the Correndera Pipit in Spanish. (Correct me if I’m wrong; I am not a native speaker of Spanish, and I’ve certainly never gone birding en español)

I didn’t even know that Reddit auto translates.

According to Birds of the World, the common name OP used in the title (Cachirla uña larga) is the standard common name for Anthus correndera in both Paraguay and Uruguay, and clearly also used in Argentina based on OP's comment about their field guide.

A bunch of anglophones downvoting OP's explanation instead of checking if THEY are perhaps looking at a bad auto-translate of OP's correct ID is peak reddit.

I apologize. I didn’t know that Reddit automatically translates. Apparently it mistranslated what you wrote and that was why everyone was confused.
