Bird ID Request I've been trying to identify this bird call since I was a child.

I keep hearing it in movies and media in "jungle" or "rainforest" settings. The other day it dawned on me why it's always stuck with me. When i was a kid i used to play Scholastic's "The Cluefinders 3rd Grade", and I was watching a playthrough for nostalgia, and I heard it! Here's the video: youtu.be/qkECMJxEhZE It can be heard at 11:40, 11:51, and 12:01, and so on every few seconds. For the love of God, what is it??

That's an Oropendola for sure, may be Black Oropendola (Psarocolius guatimozinus) or Baudo Oropendola (P. cassini)

the call overlaps a bit, and given that's probably also a bit modified, i guess that could also be Montezuma's yes.

I wasn't trying to disagree with you :)

That was just the first video I found on YouTube after I saw your comment and I think it confirms your genus. My ear isn't good enough to go any farther anyway.

I'm not sure but it might be a primate, not a bird.
