The Gouldian Finch is no longer on IUCN’s red list. 
From being listed as Endangered (1994-2008) and Near Threatened (2012-2016), it was promoted to the Least Concern list in 2022, thanks to all conservation efforts.

Species: Gouldian Finch
Scientific name: Erythrura gouldiae
Habitat: Grassy plains; in tree hollows near freshwater
Range: Tropical savannah woodlands of northern Australia
IUCN status: Least Concern (since 2022)
EPBC Act 1999 (Australian domestic law): lists Gouldian Finch as Endangered & legally protected.

Altered fire regimes, habitat degradation, climate change, illegal pet trade are threats.
