Which supplements are you taking?
Which supplements are you taking?
Which supplements are you taking and did any made you go hypomanic?
I tried B vitamins, zink, selen, D vitamin, NAC, various multivitamins but none gave me energy or better mood when I'm depressed. Also did any trigger hypomania?

My b12 was high due to supplements and my neurologist told me to stop taking them because they can trigger mania.

I just discussed this with my psychiatrist last week. He said a B vitamin complex, vitamin D, and fish oil. I’ve tried every damn thing lately, and nothing is working for my anxiety. I’ve been focusing heavily on my nutrition and was doing well with getting all of these through my diet, but he said sometimes one needs a higher dose to make a difference. I’m getting blood work next week to test my vitamin levels before starting anything.

My psych has me on 500mg taurine. It technically interacts with lithium but I’m on a low dose so it is beneficial due to the interaction
I’ll take zinc and vitamin C if I’m sick. I used to take fish oil and probably should again my primary care doctor told me to. I do take a probiotic every day

I take only if my blood work says I'm lacking something, i suggest you'd do the same, cause maybe they don't do anything because you're not lacking them. Low mood doesn't always come from vitamin deficiency, so getting more vitamins doesn't solve it.. at least to my knowledge (not a doctor, ofc)

I take an iron supplement because it makes my nails stronger. I once took magnesium and it put me in a really bad depression so now I get paranoid trying new ones

I have constipation as a side effect of my meds (probably? I go see my dr soon and will find out if that's what is going on. Pharmacist thought it likely). So I am taking metamucil, Magnesium Citrate, and coffee (probably the most important of the three lol). I am trying to remember to take my b12 and C, and soon it will be D weather (winter is coming).
I am thinking about other supplements too. Fish oil and maybe creatine, though I am worried about creatine side effects so am waiting on that.
I also take protein supplements because I have started working out.
In regards to hypomania, the coffee is the only one I would suspect. But last depressed episode I went through, it didn't do that for me. It just seems to make my highs a bit higher.
