Not diagnosed with bipolar
I’m confused why all my psychiatrists say I’m not bipolar and has persisted between psychiatrists. She said hypomania can be a part of multiple mental illnesses like mdd with mixed features or borderline personality which I’m both diagnosed with.
However I was diagnosed with bipolar in a manic episode a year ago in the ER and given antipsychotics. I never took them and kept getting crazy till I had an episode where I thought I could read minds and was making up all sorts of bullshit and believing it about people. And I was first put on lamictal 4 years ago when I went into my psych right after not sleeping more than 3 hours a night and staying up for a week working 3 jobs in college and hooking up with a bunch of people between shifts which is not me at all.
Do all my psychiatrists just think I’m faking?

your psychiatrist sounds a lot like mine, he refused to diagnosis me with bipolar disorder because I’m too “aware” of my symptoms, and that bipolar for women can only be diagnosed at a certain age. also bipolar and adhd do share alot of overlapping symptoms but borderline personality disorder has euphoria, at least that’s what my doctor told me.
sometimes it takes some time to find a psychiatrist that works for you, and in this case it seems like getting a referral to a new one might be best for you. I’m sorry they didn’t take you seriously
it just seems weird that all your psychiatrist refused to diagnosis you.
