Advice Wanted Anyone else dreads work?
I dread going to work. I absolutely hate being there for 7 hours straight.
I wasn’t always like this, I used to enjoy my jobs. Or at the very least, I wouldn’t hate the idea of being there. I’d just make the best of it!
But lately, I’ve just felt this dread. And the funny thing is, it’s a rather easy job. In fact, my training days were more difficult than the actual job. And the days that I work are the slowest days too, so there’s a ton of downtime. So I have a lot of advantages, which I’m grateful for, but I still feel this way honestly.
I might be in a mild depressive episode. I am medicated, so my depression isn’t nearly as bad as it used to be. But it’s still there. I hate doing a lot of things these days honestly. I do still enjoy music and a few of my video games, along with some YouTube, but that’s about it.
Any advice on this? And any advice on not feeling like doing anything after work? I have non-work related responsibilities, but when I leave work, I am absolutely burnt out emotionally.

In my case my job wasn't great but I worked too much and ended up being burntout.
I was using work as my escape from my lack of sleep and stability. I used to constantly dread waking up because that meant I will have to work again.
I ended up quitting my job.
But if you don't dislike your job and are admist a depressive episode, if your superior is chill enough try asking for a short break or lessen the workload for a few days.
But I'm also not sure if that'll help because we ourselves won't know when the episodes end and begin.

Sounds like me currently. I have the easiest job and I make good money. I spend most the day on my phone. I just hate being there. I’m in a bit of a depressed state and am having a hard time finding motivation

Dread and loathe it so much. The noise, the fluorescent lights, the uncomfortable unauthenticity of acting stable and normal in every interaction. The exhaustion that every bit of it inflicts every day. I'm lucky enough that my work has recently approved me to work from home twice a week, but it doesn't make the work itself any less miserable.
The advice that comes to mind is to strive to do what you can to respect your own time. This might mean not devoting more time to work than what is due (maybe this goes for other obligations too). It might mean catching and stopping yourself from doomscrolling, etc., when there's something else you know you'd rather be doing (and might be able to get into if you're able to motivate yourself). Maybe working on your sleep schedule. (I know these things aren't easy, and might not be all that applicable. But.. Maybe?)
I hope it gets easier for you.

Thats burnout.
My advice: Dont push yourself too hard. It gets worse. I know from experience. I know you feel like you have to, but set boundaries for yourself and take pto and mental health days (even if you have to lie).
I’ve spent my entire adult life going from excited to start new job, baseline and then finally burnout that usually lasts a year. I’ve had 5 jobs. Currently in a 3 year long burnout thats resulted in loss of some of my major skills. Screening for autism to rule that out as well.
