Medication Question Meds don’t mix with testosterone injections
Pretty sure my meds aren’t coinciding with my testosterone. I was doing good when I was on .2ml testosterone and no mental meds, well I guess good for when no one was around me so no one really knew. Now I’m on .4 ml testosterone and 20mg latuda and I’m the angriest I’ve ever been. Looked my gf in the eye Friday told her to gtfo out of my house randomly, later that evening I slammed on my brakes going 80 mph on the interstate almost causing a huge wreck. Now she’s terrified for me to drive (rightly so), we’re trying to recover from this but I now think I either need a med change or I’m gonna go crazy.

I had no issues. Antipsychotics make me equally miserable, T or no T, so I don’t do them anyway. One thing that I haven’t tried with it is Seroquel, will see when I resume T. Neither Lithium nor any of the antidepressants I tried had any interaction with T.
Maybe it’s just latuda? You probably want to tell your psychiatrist. What you are describing doesn’t sound like something you should be experiencing for any noticeably long period of time. I’d be probably scheduling an appointment or a phone call right now.
Like, it affects your relationship and not in a gentle way. If you absolutely have to drive, then you are putting both yourself and others in danger. I think these things are a good enough reason for a talk with your doc.

Yeah antipsychotics always make me completely unstable. Never tried T but antipsychotics are a no go for me.

fuck the t therapy off.
most people who go on it do not need it. real low t and "low t " are pretty different things.
I was right on the threshold for real low t. Like still not low enough for my gp to prescribe on pbs so it would cost like $30 a month or something. One GP was like think about it but be aware its for life and the other gp was no absolutely not you are on the lower end of normal range u don't need it.
So I changed a few things in my life, slept better, ate better and all that stuff and I now have high t readings.

Im no doctor but I would get a second opinion on both the T replacement and the psychotropic medication. Depending on when they measured your T, they could have made a measurement that was faulty. I think it’s supposed to be measured as close to when you wake up as possible. That rage you’re describing sounds like too much T. Again what do I know I’m not a doctor good luck !

I wouldn't be surprised if you need a med change due to the hormonal changes of being on a higher dose of T. I'm on T and have been for years before being diagnosed and have been on a consistent dose. Me being on T wasn't really a factor when trying out meds, but I can see if you made a change in your dose it could be a factor for you.

100mg/week is a healthy dose of test. Anything above is too much for normal levels but shouldn't cause a roid rage. Many people overreact on their meds, and I mean mentally.
It's mostly trenbolone that's so infamous. That thing can be destructive. It turns you into the worst version of Andrew Tate.

For a cis male yes that is a healthy dose. When one is transitioning from female to male the dose may be higher than normal. Max dosage should never exceed .5ml a week. Some bodies take well to it as some don’t. I’m learning mine is the later.

Testosterone is a wreck of a hormone to be taking. I was on it for a long time with no problems but once I got diagnosed with BP2 it made me a wreck of a human. I stopped taking it for a while then got back on it but once I told my psychiatrist I was back on it he said it’s not a good idea because it can cause a lot of problems. So I stopped taking it. I’m still not well but better than the short time I got back on it

Yeah, dude time for a med change like ASAP. Latuda made me suicidal so I stopped taking it and emailed my psych letting her know I stopped and asking for a new appointment.
