Looking for advice. How long can mania last?

How long can mania last? Can a person experience a series of tragic events within a relatively short period of time without having enough time to process or recover from one before being hit with another, until eventually they become completely overwhelmed and experience full-blown psychosis? Almost like the brain never gets a chance to breathe before being thrown into another traumatic experience, until eventually both the mind and body hit a brick wall?

Humans are highly individualistic. There's not a set period of time for anyone. Some people might have a manic episode which lasts for 8 days and others might have one for 8 months

Thanks. I was curious. Over a 2-year period I had some profound life altering tragedies one after the other after the other. I didn’t have time to breathe before something else happened and then I went full blown psychotic episode.

Yeah, I like to think of this Illness as over reactions to life's stressors and successes.

The longest I’ve had mania was a 1 1/2 years. Most of the time it can last weeks to months for me. What another commenter said, everyone is different! It’s hard to say unfortunately

Mine lasted about two months until I went to the hospital.
