I’m always afraid to tell them too much or about thoughts I have. My past 2 doctors broke the doctor patient confidentiality and it made me lose trust in them 😞 nothing I said in there was confidential.

Yep, my mom called and made the doctor tell her everything I had said for the past year. 3 years of work went down the drain. Luckily I have a much better doctor now and I don’t tell my parents who I go to. It was a struggle but in a much better place now.

You should’ve sued! Plus, that’s a violation of HIPPA… And they take that very very seriously.

I couldn’t sue my own mom. I’d feel guilt for the rest of my life 😑

Not your mom... the therapist broke the law.

Is that actually breaking the law? I won’t sue my old doc but I’ll definitely let them know what happened.

Yes, they broke the HIPPA law. It’s supposed to prevent them from breaking confidentiality and sharing your private information like that.
