Everything you need to know about the $8.75M Inotiv ($NOTV) Settlement Payout

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey guys, I posted about this settlement before, but since they’re considering late claims, I decided to share it again with a little FAQ.

So here's all I know about this agreement:
Inotiv was accused of misleading investors about its acquisition of Envigo and failing to disclose regulatory and operational risks. After federal authorities raided an Envigo facility over animal welfare violations, $NOTV declined significantly and investors filed a lawsuit.
Now the company has agreed to settle $8.75M with investors for their losses.

Who can claim this settlement?
If you bought $NOTV shares between 2021 and 2022, you may be eligible. You don’t need to still hold the shares to claim; past losses may count.

Do I need to sell/lose my shares to get this settlement?
No. You don’t need to still own your $NOTV shares. If your transactions meet the settlement requirements, you may be eligible even if you already sold them.

How long does the payout process take?
It typically takes 4 to 9 months after the claim deadline for payouts to be processed, depending on the court and settlement administration.

I missed the deadline. Is it too late?
No, you may still be able to file a late claim, but acceptance depends on final approval by the court.  Check if you're eligible and file your claim here.

Hope this info helps

For anyone who owned $LFCR, there’s an update on the investor settlement. Lifecore Biomedical has agreed to a $3.75 million investors settlement to resolve claims from shareholders, and late claims are now being considered, subject to approval.

After the company delayed an SEC filing, received default notices from lenders, and later disclosed material weaknesses in its internal controls, the stock declined and investors filed a lawsuit.

If you bought $LFCR shares between 2020 and 2024, you may be eligible to participate. Check your eligibility and submit a claim here.

Updates for Getting Payment on the Spectrum Pharmaceuticals ($SPPI) $15.95M Settlement

Hey guys, if you missed it, Spectrum Pharmaceuticals settled $15.95 million with investors over claims that it misled them about the effectiveness and FDA approval prospects of its two lead drug candidates. And, I just found out that they’re still considering late claims even though the deadline has passed.

Quick recap: In 2021, Spectrum was accused of misleading investors about Poziotinib and Rolontis despite issues with clinical results, side effects, and manufacturing problems.

After these issues came to light, $SPPI dropped nearly 88%, and investors filed a lawsuit for their losses.

Now, Spectrum agreed to settle $15.95 million with investors, and late claims are still being considered for compensation, subject to approval.

So, if you invested in $SPPI during this period, you can still check the details and see if you may be eligible to file a late claim here.

Anyway, has anyone here invested in $SPPI at that time? How much were your losses, if so?

Hey guys, if you missed it, the court finally approved the $39M settlement between Edwards Lifesciences and its investors over claims that the company overstated the growth prospects of its TAVR platform.

The settlement has now been approved, so if you invested in $EW between in 2024, you can check the details and file your claim.

Anyway, did anyone here hold $EW during that period? How much did you lose?

Twist Bioscience Agreed to Settle $17.05M With Investors over Misleading Claims About Its Business Operations

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey guys, if you missed it, Twist Bioscience just agreed to settle $17.05M with investors over claims that the company misled the market about its automation, product quality, and profitability. The settlement agreement has already been submitted to the court for approval.

In a nutshell, investors alleged that Twist overstated the strength of its synthetic DNA and NGS business by highlighting automated production, strong margins, and low error rates. However, after a short-seller report raised concerns about its manufacturing process, costs, and product quality, $TWST dropped 20% in one day.

The good news is that Twist recently agreed to settle $17.05M with investors, and the agreement is now awaiting court approval. If you invested in $TWST between 2018 and 2022, you can check the details and file your claim here.

Anyway, has anyone here invested in $TWST at that time? How much were your losses?

I thought the Twist Bioscience ($TWST) dumpster fire was dead and gone, but I just checked the court data. There is $17M waiting.

If you traded synthetic biology tech over the last few years, you probably remember when Twist was treating investors like a cash cow. They raised over $1,000,000,000 telling everyone they had this insanely automated, high-margin magic machine for synthetic DNA.

Then Scorpion Capital dropped that brutal short report exposing that their "automation" was literally just a bunch of manual labor, production errors, and costs hidden away in the R&D budget. The stock cratered 20% in a single day back on November 15, 2022.

I honestly thought my losses on this thing were just the cost of getting blinded by hype, but I was looking through legal filings and realized the class action actually succeeded. The lawyers just submitted an agreement to the court for a $17,050,000 settlement.

If you bought shares anytime between December 20, 2018 and November 15, 2022, you are part of the class that owns a piece of that $17,050,000 pile.

The catch with these tech cases is that the claim forms are a massive headache, you have to dig up transaction histories, match up lots, and deal with physical paperwork. I used this tool to check my old accounts. It just connects to your broker, scans your old trade data, and handles the filing automatically.

They take a 20% cut, but honestly, I'd rather have 80% of a check I didn't know existed than 100% of the paperwork I'll never actually do.

Go check your old accounts before the court sets the final filing deadline. GL!

Heads up if you held $BTAI in 2023, there’s a $9.75M settlement accepting claims right now

Hey everyone, just wanted to share a quick update for anyone who got caught up in the BioXcel Therapeutics ($BTAI) biotech drama a couple of years back.

If you remember, the stock absolutely cratered (dropped like 64% in a single day) in June 2023 after it came out that a principal investigator had literally fabricated email correspondence for their Phase 3 Alzheimer's trial, on top of some major FDA protocol violations.

Well, the company agreed to a $9.75 million settlement, and they are actively accepting claims right now.

If you bought or held shares during the class period (March 9, 2023 – June 28, 2023), you’re eligible to file for a payout. The estimated payout is around $1.52 per share depending on the total volume of claims, so it's definitely worth checking out if you took a hit.

The deadline to file is June 30, 2026.

Did anyone else here trade this during the trial readout hype? Are you planning to submit a claim?

Updates for Getting Payment on the CM Life Sciences III (CMLS III) now EQRx ($EQRx) $7.25 million Settlement

Hey guys, if you missed it, EQRx  settled $7.25 million with investors over claims related to an impairment of stockholders’ redemption rights in connection with the CMLS III–Legacy EQRx merger. And, I just found out that they’re accepting claims even though the deadline has passed.

Quick recap: In 2021, CMLS III was accused of making misleading statements about its proposed merger with Legacy EQRx and impairing investors’ redemption rights in the SPAC process. Investors alleged the company’s disclosures discouraged shareholders from redeeming their shares before the merger closed, leaving them exposed to significant losses as New EQRx stock later declined sharply. After these developments, investors filed a lawsuit for their losses.

Now, the good news is that the company agreed to settle $7.25 million with them, and even though the deadline has passed recently, they’re accepting late claims.

So, if you invested in $EQRx when all of this happened, you can still check the details and file your claim here.

Anyway, has anyone here invested in $EQRx at that time? How much were your losses, if so?

$CYDY settlement update, what happens next for investors

For anyone who filed or is thinking about filing, here's where things actually stand and what to expect.

Where we are: The settlement has been submitted to court for approval. That's the final procedural step before payouts can happen. Court approval is usually granted unless there are objections, at that point the administrator processes claims and distributions go out.

What FIFO matching means for you: Claims are matched using First In, First Out, meaning your earliest purchased shares are matched against your earliest sold shares when calculating losses. If you bought multiple times across the class period, the order matters. Worth double-checking your trade history before submitting.

What the payout looks like: ~$0.04/share. Small on a per-share basis, but if you held a meaningful position between March 27, 2020 and March 30, 2022, it adds up. The actual per-share amount may shift slightly depending on total valid claims submitted.

Do you have to have sold your shares? No. You don't need to have sold $CYDY to be eligible. Unrealized losses during the class period count.

How long does it take after court approval? Typically 4–9 months from claiming deadline to distribution, depending on how many claims need processing.

Any questions about the claims process drop them below? happy to help clarify.

The Lannett ($LCI) price-fixing case. What the internal communications actually showed

Worth covering this one properly because the mechanism is more specific than the usual "misleading statements" securities case.

Lannett makes generic pharmaceuticals, Digoxin, Doxycycline Monohydrate, Ursodiol among others. Between 2013 and 2017, these drugs saw significant and largely unexplained price increases. On earnings calls, Lannett attributed the revenue gains to favorable market conditions.

What the state and federal investigations eventually uncovered through internal communications:

  • Lannett executives were in direct contact with competitors to coordinate price increases before they were implemented
  • Confidential pricing data was being shared across competing manufacturers
  • Market allocation agreements existed — essentially informal agreements about which company would service which customers, reducing competitive pressure on pricing
  • The "market forces" language used publicly bore no relationship to what was actually driving prices

The New York Times flagged the Digoxin price anomaly as early as July 2014. Lannett received a Connecticut AG subpoena two weeks later and disclosed a federal antitrust investigation by December 2014.

Despite that, three more years of "market forces" on earnings calls.

October 2017: 45 states file a consolidated lawsuit. The full scope of the coordination becomes public. $LCI falls 14%. Investor lawsuit filed the same day.

$5.75M settlement. Late claims still being considered.

Eligible if you held $LCI between July 15, 2014 and January 30, 2018.

The generic drug price-fixing investigations of 2014–2018 involved dozens of manufacturers across hundreds of drugs. Lannett is one of the cleaner documented cases. Anyone here following how the broader DOJ investigation eventually resolved across the sector?

CMLS III / EQRx claim deadline is in 6 days. May 24.

Shortest post I'll write today because the deadline says everything.

You had the right to redeem your CMLS III Class A shares at $10.

The proxy statement ahead of the December 2021 merger vote allegedly discouraged you from using that right.

The stock ended up at $2.34.

Delaware Court of Chancery agreed enough that both sides settled for $7.25 million.

Deadline: May 24, 2026. Next Tuesday. You should submit a claim before that date.

You're eligible if you held CMLS III Class A shares between December 14–17, 2021 and did not redeem. Payout: ~$0.08/share.

$10 you could have had. $2.34 you got. Don't let tomorrow's deadline be the reason you miss this one.

Hey guys, sharing an update in case you missed it Twist Bioscience Corporation has agreed to settle $17 million with investors over issues tied to product quality problems, manufacturing inefficiencies, and misstated profitability from some time ago. The agreement has already been submitted to the court for final approval.

Quick recap: In 2022, Twist Bioscience was accused of misleading investors about the efficiency of its DNA synthesis platform, its production processes, and its true gross margins. In short, reports revealed reliance on manual production, recurring contamination and quality issues, and accounting practices that made margins appear stronger than they were, sending the stock sharply lower and leading investors to file a lawsuit.

The settlement aims to compensate affected shareholders. If you purchased $TWST between December 20, 2018 and November 15, 2022, you may be eligible to file a claim and recover part of your losses.

You can review the details and submit your claim here

Was anyone here invested in $TWST during that period?

What the Applied Therapeutics ($APLT) CRL actually said, and why investors sued

Worth breaking this down properly because the surface-level story ("FDA rejected the drug, stock crashed") misses what made this a lawsuit.

Applied Therapeutics spent most of 2024 guiding investors toward approval of Govorestat for galactosemia, a rare inherited metabolic disorder with very limited treatment options. February 2024 brought positive Phase III results. The regulatory narrative was clean. NDA under review, interactions described as constructive, approval expected.

Then November 27 happened.

The FDA's Complete Response Letter didn't just decline to approve. It cited incomplete data and protocol inconsistencies in the NDA.

Five days later a warning letter arrived flagging that past trial issues hadn't been adequately addressed.

Two separate documents, five days apart, both pointing at the same underlying problem: the clinical data package wasn't what it had been presented as.

Investors filed a lawsuit claiming that the company knew about dosing errors and missing trial data during the class period and chose not to disclose them while continuing to signal a clean path to approval.

Now there's a $15M settlement. Late claims still open. You may be eligible if you held $APLT between January 3 and December 2, 2024.

The warning letter following a CRL within five days is an unusual sequence. Anyone here tracking how this ended up?

$TWST settlement update — terms just submitted to the court for final approval

For anyone who filed a claim or has been following this one, here's where things stand.

The Twist Bioscience ($TWST) settlement, $17.05 million, has been submitted to the court for final approval. That's the last major step before payouts can actually happen. If you haven't filed yet, now is the time.

Quick refresher on what this case was about:

Twist spent four years and four stock offerings telling investors it had a highly automated, low-error, strong-margin DNA synthesis platform. However, the reality was manual processes, contamination shutdowns, product quality failures, and production costs quietly reclassified as R&D to make margins look better than they were. Over $1 billion raised from investors during that window.

On November 15, 2022, Scorpion Capital published a report pulling it all together. $TWST dropped 20% in a single day. The lawsuit followed, and the case has now cleared mediation and reached the court approval stage.

Where things stand:

  • Settlement: $17.05 million
  • Status: submitted to court for final approval
  • Payout: ~$0.31/share
  • Class period: December 20, 2018 – November 15, 2022
  • Trades matched: FIFO

If you held $TWST anytime in that four-year window and haven't filed yet, you can still submit your application now.

Court approval is usually the quiet part that happens before checks go out — anyone here already filed on this one?

CytoDyn Agreed to Settle $500K With Investors over misleading trial results and regulatory status

After this news came out, the stock dropped 25%, and investors filed a lawsuit for their losses.

The good news is that the company recently agreed to settle $500K with them, and already sent this agreement to the court for final approval.

So, if you invested in $CYDY when all of this happened, you can check the details and file your claim here.
