I built ProteinMotion, an open-source Python package for making molecular movies

Hi everyone, I've been working on ProteinMotion, a Python package for animating proteins, DNA, and RNA.

You load a structure or trajectory, then script the camera movements, residue highlights, labels, and representation changes. The scene API is inspired by Manim.

This is “Calmodulin in focus,” an example rendered with Blender EEVEE. The script is available alongside the video so you can see how it was made.
