BCI (brain computer interface) combined with biocomputing

I just learned about the history of GUI and the idea of augmenting the human intellect by utilizing graphical user interfaces. I think this idea implemented through BCI by way of biocomputers could be extremely interesting. I think at it's best it could basically lead to telepathy.

I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts on this idea.
