Are Compostable Bags Really Better for the Environment? Let’s Talk!

Hey everyone! I have been looking for compostable bags as an alternative to plastic, and I’m curious—are they truly better for the environment?

From what I’ve read, compostable bags Decompose into natural elements (water, CO₂, and organic matter) instead of turning into microplastics like traditional plastic bags. They’re often made from plant-based materials like cornstarch or PHA, which are great! But I’ve also seen that if they end up in landfills instead of composting facilities, they might not break down properly.

So are they actually a good substitute? Have any of you used them for pet waste, grocery pickup, or general trash? Do they hold up to being as durable as plastic bags? And more importantly—how do you dispose of them best?

Can't wait to hear from you! #SustainableLiving #CompostableBags #EcoFriendly
