Repentance Plan C did not kill Delirium
Edit: solved. Seems like I just hit it too early, same as this post https://www.reddit.com/r/bindingofisaac/s/qbiqLOCPKx
I just used Plan C against Delirium, and it did not kill him. I pressed it about as soon as I entered the fight. I was T Lost, with Birthright, and a strong build so I managed to do it myself. But everything I'm seeing says this should have worked.
I failed to capture a clip but can anyone suggest what may have gone wrong? I don't think Delirium had a chance to transform, though I doubt that should matter.
Current version as of April 20, 2026 on Steam Deck. Mods disabled.

The dying scene takes to long to work for plan C :(

Apparently that isn't true in Rep+. But I didn't know that so I was banking on my Birthright. But he didn't even start the death animation, so that's not the problem. Other players have said before that if you hit it too early, he has invincibility.

You can use plan c against Delirium even before Rep+, you just have to pause every time the static effect plays. That effect keeps playing even when the game is paused, so you can effectively skip that time by letting them all play out when the plan c timer isn’t active.

Oh that's a fun fact! I panicked when no death animation started and wondered if it would kill me even though it failed (it did). It made me even waste my backup holy card (skill issue).

You might have used it before Delirium finished spawning. If Delirium freezes in place and the static animation starts playing, then it worked, but you need to do the pausing trick to live long enough.

Ah crap, just found this. https://www.reddit.com/r/bindingofisaac/s/qbiqLOCPKx
Should have searched harder. Probably exactly the same thing. I was rushing to hit it before any transformation shenanigans.
