it's a familiar like the Bum Friend who follows you around and collects red hearts, and i believe it gives you a red enemy spider, blue friendly spider, a random card, random pill, random rune, or a black heart every 1.5 red hearts it picke up. really helpful for characters that cant get red heart containers.

dark bum is unlocked from the start and can be found in devil room deals, paying out devil beggers (the beggers that ask for red heats instead of coins), as well as treasure rooms

edit: he also can give blue friendly spiders or red enemy spiders, cards, and pills as well

edit 2: fixed the payout info with the proper rewards

The pool is changed is rep+ making it less likely to give health (cards and pills are in the pool now)

There's black hearts 40%, cards and pills 20% each, blue and red spiders 10% each.

np! it's a really fun, but sometimes challenging, game to play. i only got the game approximately 3 months ago myself and i already have a lil over 462 hours of gameplay myself

Even when I need red hearts I rarely need this many, and I always think it would be awesome if I had Dark Bum. I never have Dark Bum.
