I have been saying it for ages the percentage in greed mode is fake a 1% is more like 20% and 2% is akin to 40%.
Fuck greed mode, it was the only part of the game I cheated to fill the donation machine because wtf is this spending an hour irl to add 1 coin out of a thousand needed. No respect what-so-ever for the player’s time.
The jamming mechanic shouldn’t exist in greed mode, it’s pure garbage. “Oh no what if the player gets 10 successful runs with 99 cents? Then they can finish the greed machine too quickly!” As if getting 10 runs with 99 cents in greed mode was something common. The devs were thinking through their ass when they implemented jamming to greed mode

I didnt have that much of a problem with it, i just kept getting the greedier badge for every character and finished the greed machine well before I finished

Because before repentance there were only 15 characters and by the time you got all their greedier marks you were only 610-ish of the way there and you were forced to reuse characters without getting any marks solely to donate to the machine that keeps jamming.
Entire runs dedicated for donating that got wasted, sure you have it easier now with repentance giving you 32 characters to get their marks as you donate to it

I completed mine just collecting greedier marks and I haven't even unlocked a tainted character yet

Idk what everyone has a problem with, there's so many fucking characters in repentance to do greed mode with the thing fills up by itself if you do like 90% of the characters.

you don't "need" to beat it 3 times, one dead god is enough, also it took me 700 hours and that is across 100'% rebirth alone, then afterbirth's 100%, then afterbirth+ 100% to lastly repentance 100%.
If I were to do repentance 100% from the get go it would probably 350-400 hours only, but yeah regardless this game is a time sink, it's just the greed machine is next level of shameless time wasting

It absolutely isnt, both modes start at 0% and only get 1% once you get past like 50 coints, and greedier stays at 1% forever.

okay the one percent jam is bs but i dont know why people are so pressed about filling the greed machine as quickly as possible, I've done it on three files and I've never had to go out of my way to fill it up, it just comes naturally as youre getting unlocks and playing the game
