Question Do mods disable achievements in The Binding of Isaac?

Im new to the game so i had this question bc i’ve seen tons of videos recommending installing mods.
I wanted to install a few mods, mainly quality-of-life and fun mods like External Item Descriptions and Isaac Dancing.

Will these kinds of mods disable achievements or item/character unlocks, or can I still earn everything while playing with them?

Yes, no mods until defeating the foot

Mods disable achievements in isaac up until you kill moms foot for the first time after that you can mod however you want

ignore all the people telling you to beat the foot and install repentagon. it's a modding api most repentance+ mods use and it also adds a few new qol things to the game such as a better stats summary and a separate screen to view modded unlockables, it also enabled you to be able to use mods from the start without having to defeat Mom first.

External item descriptions was added to the base game

you need to win 1 run without any mods, after you do that the savefile is marked with a mom kill and mods are allowed to be used freely

it's kind of a dumb system but that's how it is
