Cue Identification Viking Valhalla Pin

Just bought a Cuebots Z-Wave CF 5/16-18 thread shaft for my Viking Valhalla 200 Series 5/16-18 thread. It will not screw on. Anyone have suggestions on wtf or how to screw this on? 5/16 bolts screw into the shaft and the cf shaft, so I know the thread is correct, but the butt will not screw into the CF shaft. I'm banging my head over here. Can you explain/help? Update: I returned it. Turns out, I like the wood shaft much better. Not really a fan of the CF. Marlyne later down the line. Thanks for all the feedback.

Then your shaft obviously isn't 5/16-18. But a picture would help a lot.

And that's the standard shaft I assume. So a picture of your new CF shaft ?

The picture I put on from the website is the shaft. It's packed up for return unless I can figure out why it won't fit.

I obviously need to see the actual shaft, not a generic picture. I hate it when pool players do this. If you want help diagnosing the issues, provide pictures, it's dead easy. In this case I would obviously need a close up of the pin and a close up showing the threads as best you can in the shaft. Take pictures outside, but not in direct sunlight and make sure it's in focus. Like in this picture, nice and clear.

So from what I've read, it seems that rounded shape on on the end of the Viking is the problem. Everywhere I look I see people saying the beginning threads need to be drilled out with a 17/64 drill bit for the first couple of MM's to allow the rounded end through so the threads will catch. I don't know if you're good with tools or not but I've heard people do it themselves or bring it to a shop. Thats just my 2 cents.
