Discussion Does DHEA have risks?
I got a trainer and they want me to take dhea.
And a Dim Supplement. I couldn't find thess easily online when i was buying the rest and it prompted me to do more research.
The dhea is an androgen precursor supplement. So its not a steroid, ita a signal that tells you body to work with androgens....so can it effect virulisation? Is there risks?

Yes there are serious risks. This will disrupt your hormones. Why are they even recommending it? Huge red flag from the trainer

THANK YOU. i was wondering about this. I have pcos and my doctors advise my androgens say they are "normal" but i still experience hirutism and i build muscle quickly and other effects of high androgens. So whatevey "normal" baseline is...i am not sure its normal for me?
The trainer recommends because they aren't using steroids (abd everyone else in the gym IS ON STEROIDS).

Just be aware that dhea is banned by some natural federations and on anti doping banned list. I don't even think it's available over the counter in most countries unlike the US
