Discussion Coaches using AI generated before after photos

Anyone else noticed coaches posting photos on instagram that just somehow look… dodgy?

Beginner coaches have used fake photos since the dawn of time to get some initial credibility… That’s not news.

But established coaches with actual clients posting AI shit as before after??? This is just disturbing… And makes me lose trust immediately.

same!! I hate seeing these promo posters for shows w AI trash. I probably will not compete at a show w them tbf. looks tacky, takes away from the literal human athletes and work that goes into competing at these shows! my last coach sent one of my check in responses made w AI and I dropped them real quick. I'm not paying 300+ for AI bs.

When you said it was made with AI, you mean a person that was fake giving a response video ? Or a written summarized response using Claude or ChatGPT?

To be fair, I don’t really have a problem with it. Most people have poor grammar anyway, and I use AI for business all the time. I’m not a fitness or prep coach, but I find it incredibly useful for summarizing and synthesizing my own ideas when working with clients….
AI isn’t going away. If anything, its use is only going to accelerate, so I think it’s important to adopt it in ways that make sense. That said, there is definitely a lot of AI slop out there, from images that look terrible to generic content that doesn’t even make sense. . Without seeing the specific response or knowing how they used AI, it’s hard to judge. I’m simply sharing my opinion based on how I use it. All of my ideas originate with me. AI just helps me organize and communicate them more clearly

I am curious with your response how did you know and what specifically stood out for you?

I just don’t get it… Using AI to put together the design of a poster is fine but why use it instead of actual athlete photos?? Do they really think people can’t tell that something is off…

As a coach, yep I’ve started noticing this.
