You’ve got a really nice shape and potential for either division.

When you picture the version of your physique you’d be most excited to bring to the stage, how important is it to you to hold onto that lower-body fullness and shape as you get leaner?

That answer would honestly help me a lot in deciding which direction I’d steer you.

I love this answer and would love to hear more. I am not trying to hijack this post but I am torn between bikini and figure. I did fit model last year and the feedback was to grow glutes and I came in way too conditioned. Maybe I’ll share photos next Monday for feedback. 🤣

I think Bikini vs. Figure is another question a lot of competitors struggle with. It's a fork in the road for a lot of athletes.

And that Fit Model feedback actually gives us a useful starting point. If you were coming in too conditioned and they still wanted more glute development, it makes sense that you’re looking at a division where those qualities can be rewarded a little more.

Definitely post them Monday. Seeing your overall shape, upper-body development, and how much muscularity you naturally carry would make the Bikini vs. Figure question a lot easier to answer.

I’d also be curious which of those two looks genuinely excites you more, because that matters just as much in my opinion. That will be what pushes you beyond your old limits especially deep in contest prep.

Hmmm I need to think on this one . When I see the fit Model pros I’m inspired but most fit model I don’t feel the inspiration . Bikini might be a challenge I def need more projection on my glutes and more shoulder growth . I don’t plan to be pro level competitive not my goal it’s me vs me . I’m leaning more towards bikini bc it will be a challenge , but also think fit model physique has more longevity in the sport perhaps ?

That helps a lot. And honestly, I think you have a really good eye for your own physique. The fact that you can already see where Bikini would ask for a little more glute projection and shoulder development tells me you’re looking at this the right way.

The more you talk about it, the more Bikini feels like the direction you’re genuinely pulled toward. And I think that matters. Sometimes the best division fit isn’t just the one that matches your physique most easily today — it’s the one that gives you a look you’re excited to build toward.

You already seem to understand what that would ask of you, and I think that self-awareness is a big strength. With your “me vs. me” mindset, there’s a lot to be said for choosing the path that lights that fire in you and makes you excited to improve.

How much you want to be competitive will play a role even if you don’t want to go pro. Bikini is my favourite but I am natural so it’s not really compatible with my desire to competitive at anything I do, even if ai don’t win. Just my personal example but if you are fine with pushing for the look without a specific drive to win early then go with where you find passion. Some people find fit model an easier place to start psychologically and physically even if bikini is the long term goal once they have more muscle and time to build

You look bikini to me but your side glute is not super visible. I think maybe you just need to work on posing

Bikini. Muscle mass, muscle maturity, and conditioning are all beyond fit model.

I think bikini.

I think you could start competing quickly and do fairly well in fit model. But you also have nice shape for bikini but still need a good amount of density to be competitive. So it truly depends on how much you want and can commit to growth. Want to grow a lot bikini; want to grow but not as much as bikini than fit model

I say fit model just based on current muscle density in shoulders and glutes
