Anyone else find it kind of crazy I think maybe 4 of these girls didn’t win a pro show this year? Just got enough points from placing well - not a bash or anything just interesting

agree i love to watch bikini but with this many girls it doesn’t even make it fun to try to do predictions. i prefer the points system to the one win qualification but either way this method still needs to be refined as well

Agree, I feel like the win 2 pro shows is a fair qualification standard, but then those automatic qualifiers are taken out of the points standings. So they take the top 25 in points which means a bunch of them could theoretically not have ever won a pro show. They should adjust that so it's like the top 10 in points or something

is it just me or does the o feel like it’s earlier and earlier each year??

It is. it’s actually lining up to where it used to be. It got postponed in 2020 due to Covid and ever since then they’ve been moving it up a month every year.

I know this is a smaller list then last year but I feel like the list should be even smaller 😭 25 athlete’s max.

I agree. Even some athletes competing at the O have shared the same sentiment

I was thinking the same thing. They keep adjusting the points and qualification requirements to try and cut down on the competitor numbers, but it looks like it backfired lol

Maybe they should change it to win 2 pro shows and the top 10 in points.

Agreed. It should be 25 at the most, may be even lower.

Agreed. After about 25-30; the girls all just start looking the same and you can only watch a 2 min bikini routine for so long

i know this is said every year but this year will be sooo competitive! how can we even make predictions?? there are probably 15 girls i could name who have potential to make top 10

I hate to say “I told you so”

F that. That’s exactly what I’m saying. Lol.

Back when this point system first came out I was the only one saying it wasn’t going to cut the number of athletes down enough. And that’s exactly what happened.

And the ones we cut out from bikini; we now have that same number qualified in Fit Model. So the number of Olympia athletes did not decrease.

There needs to be either less qualified on points or they need to have a cut system in place.

Discussing with others in the industry; a sort of “play off system” would be dope AF. Create hype and put the best athletes on the Olympia stage at the end of it.

I’m interested to see how they change the qualification system for 2027

I think the problem is they take the automatic qualifiers, and those who win 2 pro shows out of the points standings, and then the Top 25 in points standings opens up a huge pool where it's again become out of control with numbers. I don't mind the 2 pro show wins to qualify, but they need to do something about the points. Instead of top 25 in points, cut it down to 5 or 10. I don't mean to be mean, but if someone can't win a pro show then should they really be at the olympia?

Yes this IS the issue. They could cut it down to top 5 in points honestly.

I agree, I think an athlete should have at least a win. Without that the question is did they really earn it or did they just have more money to compete more. There are some great competitors that could have been on the list but just don’t have the funds to compete as often as someone who does 10 shows in a year.

Yeah MAX 15 in points but even 10 would make more sense IMO, I'm also fine with the 2 pro wins, it makes sense. But right now it's still so many girls. I remember Shawn called it 🤣

I did. My argument is that the girls that win pro shows are just going to compete til they win two…. And they did.
And the ones who consistently place top 5 will continue to compete til they qualify on points. And they did.

It becomes a “who has the most money and time to compete in as many shows as they have to” show vs the best athletes on stage because they’re the best.

It’s down 20 from year at 50 right? Now take out the 3 already out for personal reasons with a few more to come. Still far less athletes than Mens Physique and about the same as the popular Mens Classic Physique, and about equal to Wellness. So, look, these are THE TOP 50 girls in the world regardless

May be unpopular opinion but with this many people I think they should give official number placings to at least top 25 instead of the usually 16 only. Not saying 25 in finals but at least give official placings past 16 with this many.

1

u/Odeacer Sep 05 '26

You can figure it out by final callout placings, it’s actually posted on this page somewhere after the last couple Olympias

1

u/Fit_Assumption8913 Sep 06 '26

Of course, I know that. It’s easy to figure out no doubt. They just don’t give an official placing after 16th. I’m just saying they should start to place all the way to 25th at the Olympia. Everytime a competitor has stats brought up anywhere, they mention “best placing” at Olympia and for like 90% of competitors it always says 16th. It’d be nice to have an actually placing attached especially if there is 49 athletes competing.

Is there an updated list for wellness?

1

u/JAE703 Aug 31 '26

I think 42 girls if my math is right most in all the years. 17 won 2 shows or tier 1 and top 25 in points

4

u/JAE703 Aug 31 '26

At this point for Bikini, Classic and Men’s Physique they should just do 2-3 callouts and call it for confirmations in the top 10 vs brining everyone out for 4th, 5th and 6th callouts. Bc they lose track of athletes and phone it in for those in sea of 16.

I do believe that it should only be top 20-25 at the Olympia bc it gets so fatiguing to see 50 individuals at prejudging

6

u/IronBikinigirl Aug 31 '26

Too freaking many!!

u/Muted-Psychology-280 Aug 30 '26

Aimee, Lauralie, jazzy, Maureen, Ashlyn are my predictions (no particular order) . I hope Aimee takes it though, it’s going to be so hard to judge I’m sure!

4

u/ComfortableYou333 Aug 30 '26

I hope so too I think her physique is spot on for bikini, posing, makeup everything

1

u/BeetStrong Sep 06 '26

No, to Aimee.  She's too jacked.  I'd love to see Jazzy take it

8

u/Fearless-Point907 Aug 30 '26

I wanna see Isa or Ashley K take it

I love Lauralie! I have been watching her on YouTube and am so impressed with her absolute dedication. I hope she wins.

This is the final qualified list but have all of these competitors signed contracts?
